Great wine should be easier to enjoy more often.

The first time we tried it, the format made sense. It keeps wine fresh longer, reduces the weight and waste of traditional packaging, and lets more of the value go where it should: into the wine itself.

Wine you could pour on a Tuesday, bring to dinner with friends, take to the beach, or keep on the counter without thinking twice. Easy, but not ordinary.

What didn’t exist was wine at the level we wanted, in packaging we would actually be proud to leave out.

So we made Bloc.

The standard was set in the world's best cellars.

Christophe Paubert’s career was shaped inside some of the world’s most prestigious cellars, including Stags’ Leap Winery, Beringer, Château d’Yquem, and Château Gruaud Larose.

From Bordeaux to Ribera del Duero, and Chile to Napa, he has worked in places where the standard is absolute and nothing average gets through.

That is the standard he brings to Bloc.

Ask Christophe about the craft, though, and he will point somewhere else entirely: the vineyard, the fruit, and the conditions that shape the wine long before it reaches the cellar.

That is how we think about Bloc.

Respect the source, don’t get in the way of the wine.
